Let’s Give a Head Start to Imported Gels
A new facility for production of sterile eye ointments, drops and non-sterile external ointments, gels, has opened in Kazan at Tatchemnpharmpreparati site. It is planned to start manufacture with Ketoprofen and Diclofenac. These products contain an excipient, enhancing effects of pharmaceutical substances, developed by researchers from the Kazan University in partnership with R&D department of the facility. These drugs may replace a few imported anti-inflammatory gels. These drugs are superior to many of their marketed equivalents and have a much more affordable price.
The production facility will be able to manufacture 20 million packs a year, and then increase the production volume and enlarge its portfolio. It is probable, that a novel antifungal drug in the form of external gel developed by researchers from Kazan University will be manufactured at the facility. This drug will be superior to its international equivalents. Its name cannot be currently disclosed.
