ICMRA: Russian Experience is Sought
Roszdravnadzor has become a qualified member of the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Agencies (ICMRA) – the leading global organization for interaction of regulatory authorities in the field of medicinal drug circulation. Roszdravnadzor has become a qualified member of this organization, along with TGA (Australia), ANVISA (Brazil), ЕМА (EU), MHPRA (UK), other European countries, and CFDA (China), COFEPRIS (Mexico), MFDS (Republic of Korea), FDA (USA), MCCSA (RSA), PMDA and MHLW (Japan), regulatory authorities of other countries. The World Health Organization is an observational member of ICMRA.
Membership in ICMRA provides an opportunity to take part in a global format of interaction of regulatory organs in the field of circulation and traceability of flow of drugs, within the struggle against circulation of counterfeit and falsified products, in assistance to accelerated development and marketing of innovative drugs, enhanced partnership in the field of international trade.
Minister of Healthcare, Veronika Skvortsova, congratulated the professional community with affiliation of Russia to ICMRA and expressed confidence that the Russian experience will be demanded. Membership of Roszdravnadzor in this International Coalition will provide full participation of Russian professionals in its work and will be aimed at further improvement of activities to make high-quality, effective and safe drugs available to the Russian population, as it will provide huge opportunities to establish links to all the parties concerned.
