A Soya-Based Drug
Researchers from the Urals Federal University (UrFU) in cooperation with colleagues from the Urals Department of the Russian Academy of Science (UD RAS) are developing an innovative drug based on soya extracts.
They are currently working on synthesis of a new compound which will help increase the longevity and improve the quality of life. The product is suggested to be obtained biotechnologically from food products based on soya extracts.
“It is a surrogate for woman’s health hormones. It will promote longevity, particularly in women, says Maxim Mironov, Professor of Technology and Organic Synthesis Department at the Chemical and Technological Institute UFU. “The work on the research project will be performed based on the new chemico-pharmaceutical site at the University, constructed within the framework of Federal Target Program “Pharma-2020”.
