At a meeting for discussion of the Healthcare section of the election agenda of the United Russia party, Veronika Skvortsova remarked significant reduction in drug usage, because Russians have to save and minimize costs for treatment. Saving on drugs may have bad consequences and create a threat to national security.
To make pharmaceuticals more affordable, the Ministry of Health offers a mechanism of public reimbursement of 50% of the drug cost. According to the Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova, reimbursement will range from 30 to 70%, with account for civil liability for health and mode of life.
Veronika Skvortsova remarked that 4.5 bln rubles have been saved within the Compulsory Health Insurance program, which could be reallocated to solve the issue of public pharmcare.
