Moscow-Havana: the Framework for Cooperation
A Memorandum on cooperation between State Budgetary Institution Scientific Center for Expertise of Medical Products of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Center for State Control of Medicines of the Republic of Cuba has been signed by Yuri Olefir, General Director of FGBU NCESMP of the Russian Ministry of Health and Rafael Peres Cristia, General Director of Center for Public Control over Medical Drugs of the Republic of Cuba.
The signed Memorandum enhances cooperation between the countries, successfully developed from 2000 within the framework of the Intergovernmental Russian-Cuban Commission, including in the field of healthcare, as well as in the field of biopharmaceuticals and genetically engineered products. The cooperation is planned to be continued. The parties have agreed about exchange of normative documents on drug authorization and clinical studies according to God Laboratory Practice (GLP).
