Overseas Supply of Russian Vaccines have Begun
People from Nikaragua will now pass vaccination against influenza using Russian influenza vaccine manufactured by the Saint Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Sera, Federal Medical Biological Agency of Russia.
Supplies of the Russian influenza vaccine have already begun to Nikaragua and also to Kuba.
In May Saint Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Sera FMBA Russia has already supplied to Latin America about one million doses of inactivated split influenza vaccine.
The result of huge work within Russian-Nikaragua project of construction in Managua of immunobiological site Mechnikov S.A., presented this April. Nikaragua Institute of Social Insurance (NISI) will become a partner and cofounder of Mechnikov S.A..
Note, that the project is implemented within the framework of Intergovernmental Commission of Russia and Nikaragua. As of 2018 supplies of influenza vaccine manufactured at the facility directly to the Ministry of healthcare of the regional countries, and through regional medical organizations, including Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO).
