Local Pharmaceutical Production: The Range of Priorities Increases
Dmitriy Medvedev signed Decrees of August 30, 2016 No 860, NO 861. These documents extend the spectrum of priorities enabling subsiding of Russian projects for development of new drugs. A possibility to fund projects on organization of manufacture of several pharmaceutical substances within one agreement on subsidies is envisaged.
The first document both extends the list of target areas and increases the lead time to the market of the drug from three to four years, with a maximum size of subsidy of 200 to 400 million rubles.
According to the second document a possibility to fund projects for production of a few pharmaceutical substances within one agreement on subsidies is provided. Besides, conditions for support of new drug manufacturers which did not pass the licensing procedure, are created.
These measures will help create, extend and upgrade the manufacture of pharmaceutical substances, thus increasing the share of local drugs in the total volume of consumption.
