Developments of Russian Scientists Gain International Acceptance
At the recent working meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin and Director of Federal Medico-Biological Agency (FMBA) Vladimir Yuiba discussed promising areas of activity of the Agency, in particular, research and development activities, achievements in the sphere of medicine.
Vladimir Yuiba told about scientific developments of FMBA which may be considered not just Russian, but global scientific achievements. He told about cell technologies developed by our scientists, that may bring a person back to life even after 80 per cent burns, with complete rehabilitation.
Vladimir Yuiba told the President about a vaccine developed by Russian scientists, which has passed clinical trials and has been certified by the Pan-American Healthcare Organization (PAHO), responsible for certification of biotechnological drugs, biotechnologies. Construction of a plant for manufacture of local substance of influenza vaccines is being completed in Nikaragua. It is the first project in local practice, targeted at export of biotechnology based on own substances. The project will cover the needs of Nikaragua and the Latin American market in influenza vaccine by almost 50 per cent.
