Russia-Japan: a Memorandum Signed
A memorandum on cooperation in the field of healthcare has been signed between the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia and the Ministry of Healthcare, Labor and Welfare of Japan.
The project involves cooperation in the field of pediatrics, rehabilitation after somatic, neurological, orthopedic disorders, as well as on prevention of disorders. An agreement on cooperation in the field of prevention of antibiotic-resistant bacteria has been achieved. Mutual cooperation in the field of development of drugs, including antineoplastic agents, is also suggested. Victor Vexelberg, President of Skolkovo Fund remarked that the project concerns networking of scientists from both countries over development of novel drugs, not just over acquisition of innovative technologies
An agreement on acquisition by Japanese trade corporation Mitsui&Co of 10% of shares of the Russian Pharma company R-Pharm developing, researching and manufacturing of a wide spectrum of drugs predominantly for hospital and specialized medical care, has been signed.
