Industry Forum “Internet + Medicine” was held by the Institute of Web Development under support of the Fund of Internet Initiative Development (FDII) and Yandex yesterday, on November 24 in Moscow.
This representative forum which collected over one thousand persons, including well-known politicians, representatives of medical, pharmaceutical and other professional ommunities. Georgiy Lebedev, head of committee “Internet+Medicine” of the Institute of Web Development, Head of chair of information and internet technologies of First Moscow State Medical Institute named after Sechenov, was the moderator of the plenary session.
Chairman of committee of the State Duma on information policy, information technologies and communication, member of council of the Institute of Web Development, Leonid Levin, talking to the audience, remarked that the problem of internetization of healthcare industry requires immediate resolution, the law on development of web medicine is already included into the list of priorities.
Alexey Privalov, General Manager of LABMGMU, who took part in the discussion of problems of development of new drugs at discussion site “Startups in Medicine”, remarked that development of applied developments with commercial potential is impossible without state support. He also stressed that for development of Pharma industry the state can do a lot and is making a lot, supporting startups at the stage of launch and development.
Within the framework of forum discussion sites were organized, where questions of establishment and organization of telemedical centers, remote commerce with drugs, electronic document flow for prescribing and use of drugs and others were discussed.
